I’m an entrepreneurial, creative and personable web geek with many years in the corporate/agency and freelancing web design arena. I like to call myself a UX Generalist. I know how to create standout user experiences utilizing the most modern web tools. My unique blend of project management experience, ability to work with cross-functional teams, tech skills, understanding of user-centered principles and passion for thoughtful design ensures that every project is built beautifully, efficiently and with the user front and center. I am skilled in web design, UX design, and project management, with a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and Adobe. I have a certification in Javascript and am currently acquiring additional certifications in IT and continue to simultaneously broaden and sharpen my skillset. My ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and final design solutions, along with my flexibility across various platforms, design systems, content management systems, and cross-functional teams, allows me to deliver high-quality projects efficiently
My Design Process
Empathy and research are critical components of the first step. Understand the user and begin to define the problems that need solving through research
After understanding the problem, it's time to brainstorm for possible solutions
Bring the ideas to life with various fidelity wireframes, UI designs and prototypes
Test your designs with users and stakeholders to make sure the goal has been achieved. Iterate as needed
Once the designs have been fully tested and approved, they are ready for development.

University of Scranton, PAAlthough I graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in political science, my true interest has always been in the fusion of technology and design. As a senior, I realized that politics wasn't the right fit for me (who wouldn't) and began to focus on my passion, even bringing hand-written HTML and CSS code to class with me to study. Despite my the late realization, I was super excited to pursue my passion and build a career in the design-tech industry

ColorCoded Studios - 5 YearsAs soon as I graduated college, I began my journey as a freelancer and founded my own LLC, ColorCoded Studios. I was self-employed and fortunate to work with several small businesses in the area, offering a range of services including web design, print materials, branding, menus, social media management, and marketing support. I love to take a client's vision and turn it into a reality while enabling their business to grow in strides.
Creative Project Manager
1+ Years - PMX Agency, NYCAfter some time as a freelancer under my own banner, I was able to secure a contract with PMX Agency as a pre-sale scoper and creative project manager, where I supported pre-sale, business development and creative PM efforts. This opportunity allowed me to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced agency world, working on a wide range of projects with talented individuals and major businesses. I learned the in's and outs of web design and front end web development within the B2B and non-profit space, multiple CMS systems and some SEO best practices, all while overseeing exciting and challenging projects. It was a great step forward in my career and I enjoyed the opportunity to be part of such a dynamic team
Web Consultant
The Clearing House, NYC - 2+ YearsAfter gaining experience as a freelancer and working with a team of UX, design, and development professionals at an agency, I joined The Clearing House to help with the launch of a new website for their clients. I joined at the tail end of the launch but the project was such a success that they asked us to redesign their intranet from scratch. Our team conducted user research, created user interface designs, and worked closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to produce a brand new intranet. We worked with developers and third party vendors to secure a new platform, Microsoft SharePoint paired with LiveTiles. We were also responsible for designing and educating departments on multiple new content governance processes.
Web Developer
2+ Years - The Clearing House, NYCAfter completing the intranet redesign project, I took on a web developer role where I provided maintenance support for the web development department. My responsibilities included making agile-driven content changes, redesigning pages, and managing the internal design system. We utilized LiveTiles, a no-code platform for content management and delivery, and I also assisted with project management for a major cloud migration project. My duties included research, scoping, timeline management, process documentation, approvals committees, testing, and more
UX Designer
Self-Employed / Freelancing - 1+ YearsOver the last year I have been fortunate enough to engage with multiple unique full time opportunities. I managed content, performed front end development, conducted UX research and designed wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity mockups for the entire New Jersey Judiciary. After this short term contract I was able to coordinate and support the bootstrapping of a startup located in Salt Lake City Utah. I assisted with marketing operations, acquired lifecycle marketing certifications and consulted on their UX Design direction. I am currently freelancing and seeking new opportunities.
